Add Wash Off Masks to Your Morning Beauty Routine
Wash-Off Masks
I have welcomed wash-off masks into my morning beauty routine, and I love it!
TONYMOLY’s dark grey clay-based Bubble Pore Mask tightens and cleans the pores. I have actually just emptied this one. Since the octopus bottle is so adorable I am going to reuse it! It can either be a decoration or a container for small stationery items like pins and thumb tags.
The volcanic color clay mask target different skin concerns. You can use a single color or multiple colors on your face in separate areas. I have the white, pink and green clays.

Lastly, this warming rose mask clears and tightens the pores. It is currently not available, but check out a similar formula in sheet masks.
I alternate my masks and use them 3-4 times a week. After rinsing them off, I spray on my favorite toner (review here) and then apply moisturizer.
Sheet Masks vs Wash-off Masks
I used to think wash-off mask is a hassle. You need to first put it on, massage it onto your skin, wait for 5-20 minutes, and then rinse off with lukewarm water. It just sounds like a long process, so I often opt for sheet masks that I can just throw away after use.
However, the problem I have with those masks is that I want to be less wasteful and contribute less to the landfill. Even though my current wash-off masks are still packaged in plastic bottles, they are recyclable. Innisfree has partnered with TerraCycle, so you can recycle your empty Innisfree bottles for free in the store. Alternatively, you can also recycle pretty much all your beauty packagings and waste through TerraCycle's Beauty Products and Packaging Zero Waste Box™. So neat, right?

Some sheet masks are made of biodegradable materials like Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask Sheets, which is made from 100% eucalyptus fibers. For the outside plastic packaging, you may rinse and recycle through TerraCycle as well.
