Sweater Season is On, Get Cozy & Thrifty
Knits Over Knits
Now that sweater season is in full swing, it's time to get some new knits. To refresh my fall wardrobe, I went shopping at my favorite stores and got a couple of sweaters and sweatshirts, and this lightweight fringe sweater from ThredUP is one of them.
Fall is so short in NYC, so I want to live in these soft sweaters as much as I can before the puffer coat covers them up.
The jacket was purchased early this year in Chengdu. The pink hoodie on this jacket is detachable. I love it.
Favorite Jeans
I have been wearing these jeans from Everlane to work, to stay in, and to go out. The color becomes lighter after a few washes, but they do age well. However, I had a pair in black which didn't look as good after a few washes. So I'd suggest getting any other colors except for black.
Add Some Sparkles
My mom gifted me this gold piggy pendant as a birthday gift this year, and then she gave me the gold chain necklace for my wedding in China. They are unintentionally a perfect match. I used to only buy fashion jewelry, but now I think the finer things are better investments. Also, because they are pricier, it makes me choose more carefully and avoid impromptu purchases. On a side note, I'm recently browsing at Aurate, and their gold jewelry pieces look so pretty!
The Mini Backpack
This is my everyday backpack. It holds a ton and is super lightweight. I can't do heavy bags.
Statement Sneakers
If I have to pick one type of fabric to represent fall, I'd say corduroy. And naturally, corduroy is never out of style, and I got them on my cute sneakers.
