Gantry Plaza State Park: Sunset Walk Outfit
The Park
When I first moved to Long Island City in 2010, the waterfront was under development. At that time, Gantry Plaza State Park was small enough to walk around in 15 minutes. Years went by, and this park kept expanding along the waterfront. Now it's a beautiful 12-acre state park that the neighborhood loves.
Cardigan
This grey cardigan is made from silk and cotton. Zero + Maria Cornejo is a luxury ethical brand. If you love their designs but can't afford the full price, find them at a deep discount from The RealReal.
Take a walk in the beautiful Gantry Plaza State Park at sunset. At the end of the summer, put on a light weight cardigan for just a bit more warmth while anticipating the fall.
Sandals
I got these Eileen Fisher sandals from NordstromRack. I'm usually a size 5.5, but these fit me very well in size 5.
Striped Tee
Made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, this tee from Threads 4 Thought is soft and comfortable. I got mine from Nordstrom Rack. Its slightly cropped length is very petite-friendly.
Belt Bag
Go hands-free in this trendy round shape belt bag. It's perfect for carrying just the essentials. Small bags help me to minimize what I bring with me everyday.
This is the first belt bag that I’ve ever owned. It took me a few days to get used to having some weight on the hips. If that's a concern to you, I'd suggest choosing fabric instead of leather or faux leather for your belt bags.
Denim
A pair of sturdy and classic denim shorts will never go out of style. I love the high-waisted cut and the button fly design.
If you haven’t, check out Levi's Waterless collection. It is their more sustainable denim collection that uses less water than regular denim. One note is that Levi's sizings are not very consistent. I have 24, 25 and 26 from them depending on the style.
